A catch-all feature that is enabled for a certain email mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the same domain name, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you run some business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited messages, you can combine the catch-all option with email filters in order to receive only real messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

In case you’ve got a website hosting with us and you wish to enable the catch-all option for a given mailbox that you have in the account, it’ll take literally only a click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve this. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each email address that you have created under any domain name hosted in the account. You can choose one address per domain name by clicking on the corresponding button. This will enable the feature right away, so all messages sent to misspelled addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking on the button again will turn off the catch-all feature. If you have enabled email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary message and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature till you delete the forwarding or you can simply choose a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom Hepsia Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will allow you to set up a catch-all e-mailbox easily even if you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you’ve set up with your domain names in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will notify you if you have already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. In case you reach the decision that you do not want this feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
